Appearance to precipitate orange crystals from acetic acid.

Solubility soluble in ethanol and become red solution, soluble in ether and become brown and fluorescent yellow, soluble in caustic sodium solution and ammonia to produce purple. 
Uses: used as intermediate for the manufacturing of vat dyes, disperse dyes and reactive dyes.
